DELTA COUNTY NEEDS A TIME-OUT

ON

THE IRON POINT UNIT WELLPAD EXPANSION APPLICATION

Delta County needs time to become a better regulator, a leader, to consider the implications of SB-181, and to exercise its newfound powers to regulate oil and gas. Delta County needs to hear from you!

Delta County is currently reviewing, and set to approve, a Specific Development Application to expand an existing wellpad in the IronPoint unit by 6 additional wells. It is reviewing the application based on its current oil and gas regulations, which were not designed to prioritize public health, safety, welfare and the environment. Staff recommendations to the Planning Commission and now to the County Commissioners are based on a lower standard. Please ask the Delta County Commissioners to take a time-out on reviewing and approving this  application until the current oil and gas regulations are revised to meet the new standard required by SB 181 and the greenhouse gas emission reduction targets under HB 1261, which was also signed into law and is effective.

Please submit the following letter to Delta County Commissioners. Filling out the form below will submit the included comment letter directly to the Delta County Commissioners. Thank you for your support!
