In November 2019, 65 Colorado youth filed a petition for rulemaking with the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (“Commission”) calling on the Commission to adopt strict rules to protect public health, the environment, and wildlife from oil and gas development and the climate crisis. That petition, including the specific rules that youth would like to see adopted, are now being considered by the Commission as part of a significant rulemaking effort that will have long-lasting implications for all Coloradans – including you!
