The North Fork Valley is already part of the transition to a renewable and clean energy future. We have ample sun and land to harvest the sun; we have ample agricultural lands to grow biofuels, especially hemp, and more importantly to capture agricultural waste for biofuels; with gravity fed water systems, we have the ability to produce micro-hydro; and some areas in the valley serve as wind tunnels making wind energy a possibility for some. The North Fork Valley can be energy independent and is well on its way. Our Valley does not need to be destroyed by natural gas production for energy. Let’s prove it.
