Citizens for a Healthy Community Receives “Co-Non-Profit of the Year” Award

Today, Citizens for a Healthy Community was awarded “Co-Non-Profit of the Year” by the Paonuia Chamber of Commerce. The award was given to recognize Citizens for a Healthy Community’s efforts that helped convince the BLM to defer the August 2012 lease sale, in which nearly 30,000 acres of public lands in the North Fork Valley had been nominated for oil and gas development.

Along with the award, Citizens for a Healthy Community was invited to ride in the annual Cherry Days Parade. Mike Gwinn and Rick Stockton played favorites “Route 66” and “This Land is Your Land,” along with Mike’s original song “Gas Man.”  Here’s a short clip of Mike and Rick playing on the parade route:
