20 May Judge Stops NFMMDP

CHC and partner organizations win lawsuit against the Bureau of Land and US Forest Service on North Fork Mancos Master Development Plan (NFMMDP). Today, a U.S. District Court judge stopped the federal plan that allowed 35 wells across 35,000 acres, including three watersheds in the upper North Fork Valley, and two roadless areas, 12 miles north of Paonia. Judge Marcia K. Krieger’s order prevents new drilling and fracking in the area.
