Action Alert! The Power of Colorado Gives Day-Tuesday, December 8th

Colorado Gives Day is Tuesday, December 8th. We need your help to increase the value of your donation dollars.

Donating to Citizens for a Healthy Community (CHC) on Colorado Gives Day increases the value of every dollar you give. For example, if CHC raises $10,000, which is equal to 10% of a total $10,000,0000 raised on CO Gives Day then CHC gets 10% of the $1,000,000 Incentive Fund, which amounts to an extra $1,000.*

Why? Because this year Community First Foundation and FirstBank have again each contributed $500,000 to create a $1 Million Incentive Fund, one of the largest in the country! This Incentive Fund increases the value of every donation proportionally. Here’s how it works: If a nonprofit organization receives 10 percent of the total amount of money raised on Colorado Gives Day, that same nonprofit receives 10 percent of the $1 Million Incentive Fund.

You can schedule your donation for Colorado Gives Day—December 8th in advance here. Make sure you click on CO Gives Day for your donation to apply on the 8th. The more you give on this day, the more value you create with your donation dollars to protect clean air, clean water, clean soils, clean foods, pristine wildlife and recreation sites from irresponsible oil and gas development.

Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. For the sixth year, Community First Foundation and FirstBank are partnering to present Colorado Gives Day in 2015. Donations are accepted through ColoradoGives.org. Colorado Gives Day is powered by ColoradoGives.org, a year-round website featuring nearly 1,500 nonprofits. ColoradoGives.org encourages charitable giving by providing comprehensive, objective and up-to-date information about Colorado nonprofits. It is an easy way to support us online!

Why We Need Your Help?

We have a lot of work to do in the coming months and years to protect the health of our community as we face some of our biggest challenges. We are gearing up for the BLM release of their Resource Management Plan, the first resource management plan in over 25 years. We will have a brief time period to respond. Most importantly, we face over 800 new gas wells in our airsheds and watersheds, which, if permitted and drilled, will permanently affect our quality of life.  From these and other challenges, we will protect our area!

Thank you for all of your support!
