27 Jan 200+ Groups Call on EPA to Re-Open Fracking Investigation
January 27, 2014 –
Citizens for a Healthy Community joined with Americans Against Fracking and more than 200 other groups from across the country to call on the federal government to re-open the EPA’s investigation into water contaminated from fracking.
In a letter, the groups called on the President “to provide the leadership necessary to compel a full investigation into water contamination from fracking in Texas.”
The letter was sent as a result of new information that has come to light, including a report from the EPA Inspector General that found the EPA has authority to protect drinking water from fracking and recent tests by Duke University researchers that found water contamination in Texas.
