Here’s What We Do…

We Educate

We empower our community to raise their voices and meaningfully engage in agency actions through educational materials, research, aerial tours, and events.

We are Watchdogs

We monitor oil and gas activity in the North Fork Valley, including lease sales, permit applications, spills, fugitive emissions via thermal imagery camera, and engage in administrative agency actions.

We Hold Government Accountable

We hold county, state, and federal agencies accountable to following environmental laws and regulations.

We Initiate Regulatory Reform

We work to change laws and regulations to better protect our community.

Please keep the NFV healthy. It's taken many years to rid the soils from DDT poison used as a pesticide before I moved to Hotchkiss in 1971. Please keep oil & gas leasing on any land out of this pristine area of CO.

Babs

I am a chef who cooks locally and requires pristine organic environments to source my food from, without these natural spaces, our food and balance of life are put in jeopardy.

Merrick

We need land to give to our children someday, please think of them when you think of drilling on this beautiful land that has already given enough.

Shannon

It is truly a little piece of heaven for so many citizens and visitors alike. [Oil and gas development] would destroy the local economy and a place that so many rely on for rest.

Nancy

Oil and Gas companies completely deplete and ruin the areas they operate in, and then they move on to spoil the next, and the next, and the next locations they use. This practice is not healthy for the land, the animals, or the people. Please, do not open our land to this. Please.

Signa

As a mother that very much loves to feed my children the best, most local, beautiful organic food, it would be absolutely heartbreaking to see this option come to an end. Especially for oil and gas.
